Young Thai Coconut Energy Shake

Hiiii alllll. I’m so excited about this post today because it is about one of my favorite meals ever! It’s better than any malt or shake you’ll ever get from a drive-thru and doesn’t contain any unhealthy fats, sugars, and chemicals. It’s tremendously healthy and by far one of the best things you’ll ever put in your mouth 😉 Plus, it’s only a four ingredients, so how can it get any better than that?

Some of the health benefits include:

Coconut: High in fiber, magnesium, potassium. It’s full of vitamins, acts as an antioxidant, helps the immune system, provides loads of energy and contains healthy fats. It’s amazing for your hair and skin and it’s delicious. Plus, you kind of feel like your on a tropical island while drinking it.

Cocao: Full of antioxidants, increases blood flow, may boost serotonin (the happy drug in your brain. So, put down the crack, you’ve got a new drug. Jk. Please don’t do crack), good for cholesterol. It’s chocolaty  and scrumptious<3

Dates: Promotes a healthy digestive system, rich in B vitamins, good for your brain’s health, anti-inflammatory, strengthens nervous system, improves skin elasticity.

Chia seeds: Lots of nutrients with very few calories, filled with antioxidants, high in Omega-3 fatty acids, energy enhancers and increases metabolism. They also thicken up shakes and keep you full longer.coconut shake

 

RECIPE:

-1 Young Thai Coconut (coconut meat/water)

-1 Tbs Cocao

-1 Date

-1 Tbs chia seeds

–Place everything into a blender and enjoy 🙂

*There are two options with the coconut. You can either buy one at the store and open it with a butchers knife or order pre-made coconut meat from Exotic Superfoods. If you just order the meat, you’ll either have to buy coconut water at the store, use almond milk, or just use regular water.
