The Most Important Thing to add to Your Morning Routine

Hi all!

I love that amazing, short bit of time right when you wake up where there are no thoughts in your mind, and you just relax in your cozy bed. However, soon the mental chatter sets in. You start thinking about your past, future, random situations that never even happened, worries, insecurities, and a slew of other ego thoughts that honestly just don’t matter. Your mind goes around and around in and endless loop that solves nothing, and you get out of bed already feeling tired.

It can be overwhelming to think of our entire life ahead of you, past mistakes, and what you are supposed to be doing with your life. But you’ve got to just drop it. I know it seems hard to be present at first, and then you get nervous wondering how long this presence will last. You know that you should be thinking positive and sending out good vibes and the fact your stressed makes you even more stressed. It’s a vicious cycle. So, here is my tip.

Pretend you just have that moment, that day, and that’s it.

Pretend when you woke up, that you were just born. You don’t have a past. Those are just memories anyway and scientist say that 50% of what we say about our past isn’t even true (Dr. Joe Dispenza). You are also not your past, you’re everything you’ve learned from it. When you wake up you are a brand new person and you can be whoever it is you want to be.

Don’t think about your future endlessly either. If you have goals, that’s great! But don’t let it distract you from the fact you only have those 24 hours. You can use that time to work towards a goal, but be present in the moment you are working on it. If it’s a painting you’re doing, book you’re writing, or meal you’re cooking-enjoy all the little steps. You have a 24 hour trip on earth that day, so enjoy every little piece of it!

So, that’s the question. Who do you want to be for the next 24 hours?

Do you want to be fearful, insecure or joyful and confident? Do you want to live in pain or love? Constantly thinking of the worst case scenario or the best case scenario? Just decide which one you want. The ego or spirit?

Chose to be whoever you want, but I think it’s way more fun to feel love, confidence, and joy throughout the day. To ask the universe for miracles. To feel good and excited about life. You have the next 24 hours, so decide how you want to feel and live in that state.
